Universal Program · Concept model
A concept model for a free learning platform for students, teachers and families: courses by grade, lessons with goals and activities, and a STEAM ideas lab.
The challenge
A private non-profit initiative wanted to offer free, first-class education “for anyone, anywhere”. It needed a platform that spoke to three audiences at once (students, teachers and parents) and made science feel close and fun for primary school kids.
The project stayed at the design stage: it was never built due to lack of funding. We show it as a concept model, with the platform thought through and designed end to end.
The solution
We designed the whole platform, from the home page to each lesson:
- “When learning and fun go hand in hand”: a home page with direct entry points for students, teachers and parents.
- Courses by grade: from first to sixth grade, each with its units, from science in the kitchen and the world of plants to solar energy, electromagnets and creating with artificial intelligence and Scratch.
- Classroom-ready lessons: each lesson has goals, activities (presentation, experiment, discussion and drawing) and a list of materials, plus live-streamed lessons.
- Ideas lab: hands-on STEAM activities to boost creativity.
- Access by profile: sign-up as teacher, student or parent, with Google or Facebook login.
The mobile version reorganizes the offer into tracks (Steam Noobs, Boots and Proos, Economics and finance, Computing and Ceramics workshop). All with a playful identity: colorful strokes, hand-drawn illustrations and a handwritten typeface for titles.
Results
The project never went into production, but it left a complete model ready to build: the content architecture by grade and unit, the journey for each profile and the visual system, on desktop and mobile.
