Platform for Puerto Rico’s largest science and math competition, with an online stage and a live final.
The challenge
Operación Éxito is the country’s main science and math competition, run with the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rico Science, Technology and Research Trust. It needed a platform where students across the island could sign up, compete online and follow the road to the final.
The solution
- Student and school sign-up and accounts.
- Online competition with scoring: the top 9 scores plus 9 finalists drawn by lottery go on to the live final.
- School participation ranking, with prizes for the schools with the most sign-ups.
- Competition site with finalists, winners and prizes: architecture, biotechnology and ecology camps.
Results
The competition reaches schools across the island and closes each edition with a live final at PUCPR in Ponce. La Magna has awarded a US$100,000 prize to its winner.
